Kuleana Consulting staff work to clear a bramble of invasive plants to reveal the ancient fishing village of Hokukano. Due to the sensitive nature of the landscape, all work is done with hand tools only. Chipped wood is recycled to create a base for eventual trails that will traverse the site which will be part of the overall Shoreline Park adjacent to the Hokulia development.

After clearing of invasive plants the native landscape is encouraged to return at the Hokulia Shoreline Park. You can see the trail being developed in the center foreground.
